1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to websites, applications, APIs, developer tools, integrations, and other online services operated by OpenDev (collectively, the “Services”). A particular Service may provide additional privacy information when its features or data practices require it.

2. Information we collect

Depending on the Service you use, we may collect:

• Information you provide, such as account details, content you submit, preferences, and communications with OpenDev.
• Information from sign-in providers. When you use Google Sign-In, we may receive the information you approve on the consent screen, including your name, email address, profile image, and Google account identifier.
• Technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, timestamps, referring pages, feature usage, authentication events, crash data, and security logs.
• Information from integrations. If you connect a third-party service, we receive only the information and permissions needed for the feature you choose to use.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• Create and manage accounts and authenticate users.
• Provide, maintain, personalize, and improve the Services.
• Operate integrations and features requested by users.
• Monitor reliability, diagnose errors, and provide support.
• Protect users, prevent abuse, and maintain security.

We do not sell personal information or use Google user data for advertising.

4. Google user data

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

OpenDev accesses only the Google data and permissions shown on the applicable OAuth consent screen. Google user data is used only to authenticate users and provide or improve user-facing features that the user requests. It is not sold, used for targeted advertising, or transferred for unrelated purposes.

If a Service requests access beyond basic profile information, the purpose of that access will be explained before authorization. Users can revoke OpenDev's access at any time through their Google Account settings.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Some Services may use cookies or similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, measure reliability, and protect against abuse. Where required, the relevant Service will provide controls or obtain consent before using non-essential technologies.

6. How we share information

We may share information:

• With service providers that host, secure, monitor, or support the Services, subject to appropriate contractual restrictions.
• With third-party integrations when a user directs us to connect or transfer information.
• When required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, OpenDev, or the public.

OpenDev does not sell or rent personal information.

7. Legal bases for processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, OpenDev processes personal information to perform a contract, pursue legitimate interests such as operating and securing the Services, comply with legal obligations, or based on consent. Consent may be withdrawn at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

8. Data retention and deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Services, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary according to the type of information and the Service involved.

Users may request account or data deletion through the support channel provided by the relevant OpenDev Service. We may retain limited records where required by law or necessary for security, fraud prevention, or legitimate recordkeeping.

Revoking access through a Google Account stops future authorized access but does not automatically delete information previously provided to a Service.

9. Security

OpenDev uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption in transit, monitoring, and restricted access to production systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing of, or obtain a copy of your personal information. Requests may be submitted through the support channel provided by the relevant Service.

You can review or revoke third-party access through your Google Account settings. You may also control cookies through your browser and unsubscribe from optional communications using the instructions provided.

11. International data transfers

OpenDev and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where a user lives. Where required, we use contractual, organizational, or other lawful safeguards for international transfers.

12. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13 or the higher minimum age required by local law. OpenDev does not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

13. Third-party services

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party services. OpenDev is not responsible for the privacy practices of services it does not operate. Users should review the policies of those third parties before providing information.

14. Changes to this policy

OpenDev may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Services, law, or data practices. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Where required, we will provide additional notice.
